Area

Existing house 266m2 + 75m2 extension

Design

Reconfiguration of main living space was key. A large open plan kitchen / living room is flooded with light whilst looking out onto spectacular views. On the first floor the master bedroom has been extended and now has its own private roof terrace. Planning designed by ECE Architects.

Materials

The black timber cladding reflects the materials found in the main house. On the extension, however, this has been laid vertically creating a wonderful contemporary feature. The striking flint plinth reflects the local vernacular and helps to bed in the extension with its surroundings.
