Our Practice

We are an RIBA Chartered practice that cover all elements of architectural design from inception to completion on a wide range of projects and scales. We are based in Brighton with projects throughout Sussex and the South East of England.

Recent projects' include private residential dwellings, mid-scale housing developments, commercial, light-industrial and community buildings. These projects' have been for a range of clients' including; private residential, small developers, large developers, local authorities and community led.

We have an in-depth working knowledge of the planning, building control and detailed design phases of a project. And have many years of experience administering contracts' for on-site projects.

Founding member and director of HAPA Architects in Brighton. Daniel has a keen understanding of the intricacies of local and national planning policy, he has helped to develop and facilitate new houses for the UK market through housing developments, mixed use and residential developments. He has worked closely with developers over the past years to maximize building potential on projects, while conserving keen architectural sensibilities and creating housing and commercial developments which are in high demand. Daniel’s work though a previous practice included the award-winning Dyke Road Avenue project, which was awarded the RIBA Manser Medal as part of the Sterling Prize. This project was a retro-fit and extension of an existing building.

Founding member and director of HAPA Architects in Brighton. An experienced architect with a passion for design and making beautiful spaces. My focus is to create architecture for the people within them and the environment around them whilst using innovative, natural and locally sourced materials where possible. With a particular interest in low energy construction and environmentally driven design.
